Mesa Vista Consolidated School District is seeking a passionate, energetic, and qualified Physical Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop healthy, active lifestyles while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.  The district runs on a 4-Day Week (Monday-Thursday).

• Job Title: Physical Education Teacher
• Location: Mesa Vista Consolidated Schools (Specific school site to be determined)
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Regular Contract.
• Salary: As per district approved salary schedule

? Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum: Design and implement comprehensive, age-appropriate PE programs.
• Assessment: Evaluate student physical skill development, knowledge, and fitness levels.
• Inclusion: Adapt activities to accommodate students with diverse physical abilities.
• Safety: Maintain a secure, well-managed gym, field, and equipment environment.
• Culture: Promote active student participation, positive sportsmanship, and healthy habits.
• Collaboration: Work with school faculty, administration, and parents to support student success.

? Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• Licensure: Valid New Mexico Teaching License with an endorsement in Physical Education (K-12).
• Clearance: Ability to pass a mandatory criminal background check and fingerprinting.
• Skills: Strong classroom management, communication, and first aid knowledge
