Middle School Sciene Teacher (Grades 6-8)

THRIVE teachers play a critical role in advancing our mission. We seek educators who believe deeply in the potential of all students and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction. Teachers regularly assess student growth, implement IEPs as needed, and collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure strong outcomes for every student.
Key Responsibilities
Salary range: $56,800–$81,450, based on experience and licensure level (finalized upon state budget approval).

- Deliver rigorous direct instruction
- Differentiate to meet diverse learning needs, including students with exceptionalities
- Use data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
- Implement and support IEPs as applicable
- Build a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and community partners
- Participate in school-wide duties and events
- Live THRIVE’s mission and values daily
- Maintain high expectations for students and self
- Commit to equity and closing opportunity gaps
- Reflect on practice and pursue continuous improvement
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Engage in ongoing professional development (100+ hours/year)
- Bachelor’s degree
- New Mexico teaching license (Elementary, Middle, or Secondary) with an endorsement in Science
- Background clearance
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Experience in underserved communities
- Knowledge of NM standards and Science of Reading
- TESOL certification and/or bilingual skills
- Experience with Direct Instruction and social-emotional learning
- Familiarity with educational technology
