Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies).
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including English Learners and students with IEPs or 504 plans.
- Integrate technology and hands-on learning to enhance student understanding and engagement.
- Establish a positive, respectful classroom culture that encourages responsibility, curiosity, and resilience.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and families to support whole-child development.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and community events.
- Maintain accurate student records including grades, attendance, and documentation of interventions.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as lunch, recess, or dismissal, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (required).
- Valid New Mexico Teaching License with appropriate endorsement (or eligibility to obtain).
- Prior teaching experience preferred; rural or multi-grade experience a plus.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to inclusive practices and culturally responsive teaching.
- Ability to build relationships with students, families, and colleagues in a small community.
