Speech-Language Pathologist (2025–2026 School Year)
Location: Hagerman Municipal Schools, Hagerman, New Mexico
Position Type: Full-Time

About the Position:
Hagerman Municipal Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time position serving students across the district in a PreK–12 setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting student success by providing speech, language, and communication services that meet the diverse needs of our student population.
About Our District:
Hagerman Municipal Schools is a small, rural district located in southeastern New Mexico, nestled in the Pecos Valley between Roswell and Artesia. Our district serves approximately 450 students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. We are proud of our close-knit community, supportive staff, and commitment to student achievement and well-being. We will begin a 4 day school week for the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine eligibility for speech and language services.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and student support teams.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid New Mexico licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience in a school-based setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
