Job Description:
It is a priority that the Special Education and Gifted Education Teacher work in collaboration with parents, students, ancillary staff, and regular education teachers to promote student achievement. They will provide guidance and instructional experiences that are academically and developmentally through a variety of settings, services and supports as determined appropriate for each student assigned.
1. Bachelor?s degree.
2. Current New Mexico teaching license with endorsements as required.
3. Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements.
4. CPR and Emergency First Aid certification required by April 20, 2010 for preschool and self-contained program teachers; it is preferred for all other special education teachers.
5. CPI certification preferred.
