Job Description:
School Year 2008-2009
Teacher, Special Education @ Los Alamos High School: Plans/implements program of study, creates classroom environment conducive to learning, guides learning process toward curriculum goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons/units/projects and communicates these to students, assesses accomplishments of student and provides progress reports as required, counsels with colleagues/students/parents on a regular basis, assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, develops rules of classroom behavior and procedures, maintains classroom order, attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required, assists in selection of books/equipment/instructional materials, maintains accurate/complete/correct records as required. Experience in Continuous School Improvement and/or Baldrige model is a plus!
Must possess a New Mexico teaching license. Ability to communicate effectively, ability to maintain accurate records, good writing/verbal skills. Knowledge regarding SQS/Baldrige/continuous improvement procedure and data collection.
